Fashion Friday – February 5th

Hey folks! I am back with Fashion Fridays today! Hopefully this will be a more regular feature on the blog but since I can’t always count on the weather to cooperate, it will still be hit and miss.

Anyways, while today’s look is very simple, I wanted to show a very wearable outfit for any office-type environment. Happy Shopping!

My fall 2015 wishlist

Texture continues to be in style this fall but instead of the brocade and silky fabrics that we were seeing last fall, this fall is more about tweeds and wools coordinated with leather and metallics.

Here is my wish list for fashion items this fall:

Fall wishlist 15

  1. Joe Fresh Twist Front Dress, $39
  2. Matt and Natt Tia purse in Grape, $168
  3. Banana Republic Asymmetrical-Zip Gray Pencil Skirt, $124
  4. Joe Fresh Printed Sleeveless Sheath Dress, $29
  5. Circus by Sam Edelman Bond boot, $166

What are you looking forward to buying and wearing for fall? Happy Shopping!

Totally Random Friday – July 25th

Hi my pretties! Apologies for the lack of posts last week but I was on holidays with my family. We had a great time, first camping at Falcon Lake Beach and then at a friend’s cabin in Clear Lake.

First of is a brand that needs no introduction: Louboutin. Interestingly enough they are looking at breaking into the beauty market and creating much hype around their new red nail polish. (Picture from Temptalia)

louboutinpolishWow, looking forward to seeing reviews and other makeup products that are sure to be released along with it. At the $50 price point, I won’t be picking up this polish but I know someone else who is super excited about it (you should also check our her homage manicure, it’s pretty amazing).

Little Burgundy is having a massive shoe sale, up to 60% off. Here are the two I’ve been eyeing.

Ciate has released a line of coloured mascaras called Lashlights which look amazing. They are at Sephora for $21 each.

So, if I had a fairy godmother or a genie, one of my wishes would probably be a lifetime supply of Fluevog shoes. I mean, do you blame me?

And lastly but not least(ly?) don’t forget to head over to NailPolishCanada and enter their 200 polishes giveaway. Extra entries on my blog here.

Happy Shopping!

Totally Random Friday – June 13

Friday the 13th… duh duh DUH! I’ve never been one to subscribe to any of that stuff. I find they are usually like every other Friday.

So, this week went by in a blur.

Apparently I only took pics of one outfit this week. Must get better at that.

Sarah Stevenson for Target blazer, Jacob sleeveless T-shirt, necklace from Chapters, Pink Celebrity Jeans lilac denim from The Style Bar and Sam and Libby Mary Jane’s from Hudson’s Bay.

I picked up some Sally Hansen nail strips on Monday am because I didn’t paint my nails on Sunday night and they lasted all week, which is awesome for me but totally boring for my blog.

20140612-163709-59829133.jpg It’s been five days and they seriously still look like this.

017142636974_mainI am totally jonesing for these Sam Edelman shoes. They have them in black at Hudson’s Bay and I am going down at lunch to try them on so I know what size to order in silver. These are gonna be awesome in summer and I can see them in fall with navy or black pants. Especially since Banana Republic just re-did the Sloan pant and promises me I am going to love them even more. Which seems impossible but I’m willing to try. How do I love them more than with all my heart? I’ll keep you posted.

My parents went to Las Vegas last month to see One Republic (ya, I was jealous) and brought me home personalized M&Ms. Now, I’m sure you’re thinking, wow, you have some restraint if you still had M&Ms after a month. Sadly, I don’t have any restraint, especially when it comes to M&Ms. Dad just brought these when he came for lunch on Monday and they were all gone by Tuesday at 5. I shared some with my co-workers but didn’t even take them home so I didn’t have to share with my husband. I totally had a sugar crash on Tuesday even and went to bed at 9 and slept all night.

20140612-163710-59830213.jpgAren’t they the cutest? I’m assuming that Vegas is the only place you can get the Welcome to Las Vegas sign actually printed on the M&Ms. Mom and I did this for Grandma last year when she and I went to Vegas.

Had a date night with my husband last Saturday. Went to see X-Men: Days of Future Past and loved it. I am actually looking forward to seeing it again when it comes out on Blu-Ray.

I headed over to my local Shoppers Drug Mart last Saturday for Super Spend Your Points Event and got $110 worth of stuff for the price of the taxes. Bought the Benefit Lollibalm lip tint (which I will have a short review for soon), Fekkai conditioner, Smashbox Spring Edit palette, Smashbox 24 Hr eyeshadow primer (which I seriously have no idea how I lived without this product before), Maybelline VolumeExpress The Falsies Big Eyes Mascara and some Essense french mani tips. I had never spent my points before but was please at how easy it was. I think I’ll be doing that alot more often.

How was your week? Anything exciting happen? Anything not exciting happen? Happy Shopping!

Trend: Pointed toe ballet flats

Sorry I haven’t posted for 12 days. I had this post all set up and ready to go before my trip to Toronto last week and between packing and the long weekend, I just forgot to press go. And then I had good intentions of posting while I was in Toronto but that didn’t happen either.

So, I am back and had a great time, especially checking out all the new trends coming down the pipe for spring. I’ll be sure to post what I bought soon.

Today I wanted to talk about a huge trend that is starting to pop up everywhere: the pointed toe ballet flat. It’s so cute, I think know I want several pairs.

This happy yellow pair is from Toms.

This faux croc Chinese Laundry pair is available at Rooster Shoes.

I love the Material Girl line at Hudson’s Bay. Here she does a cute geometric tribal print.

I am a total sucker for Sam and usually pick up a pair of his sandals every summer. Hopefully this gorgeous shoe will come in some colours.

Club Monaco just started doing shoes in the past couple of years and while I haven’t been in love with any yet, these white ones are definitely in the right direction for me.

I love this yellow pair from Vince Camuto, also available at Hudson’s Bay.

Which pair(s) do you like? Or is there a completely different pair that you have your eye on? Leave me a comment. Happy Shopping!
