Joe Cross Juice Cleanse – Intro

Obviously, from  reading my blog, you know I love trends and fads. Well, one fad I haven’t tried is a juice cleanse. And since so many ppl have questions about them, I thought I’d write about my experience.

I googled “juice cleanse” and came up with this one: the Joe Cross 3-day Juice Cleanse.

Sounds simple with ingredients I can buy anywhere and it’s short. I already know I can’t do a 14 day juice cleanse, no point in setting myself up for failure.

So, I’m getting ready to start the cleanse tomorrow morning and do it Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. It suggests to do it over a weekend but I am prone to snacking on the weekend so doing at work is a much better idea.

So I grocery shopped and picked up the mountain of fruits and veggies I would need for the next three days (this is actually only one days’ worth of fruit and veggies):

Cleaned and put together the juicer for easy use:

And made extra ice to pour the juice over.

I feel excited. I was in labour for three days. Juicing can’t be that much harder. The article suggests that you get your body ready for juicing by cutting out dairy, processed foods and sugar. Ya, that’s not happening. As I type this, I’m drinking hot chocolate and I have a pizza party to go to tonight.

So? Anyone else tried a cleanse? Was it beneficial? Would you do it again? I’d love to hear, Happy Shopping!

    1. As an occasional meal replacement, it’s the bomb. Just throw it all in, pour the juice in a to-go cup and drink your meal on the go. I also love smoothies for this reason.
